HELP my laptop cannot detect wifi

please help me, i recently formatted my HP Pavilion dm1 Notebook Pc with Windows 7 ultimate..
but it cannot detect wifi networks..
i used driver navigator to scan what drivers are missing. it it was Ralink RT 5390
i installed it.
yet it cannot detect to any wireless networks.
please help me T_T

Have you verified that your network adapter is enabled?

To enable the adapter:

Open Network Connections by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type adapter, and then, under Network and Sharing Center, click View network connections.

Right-click the network adapter icon, and then click Enable. Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
