I've recently been having trouble keeping a constant wirless and wired internet connection. They will both go out but I will still be connected to the internet, just nothing will load. I emailed TWC and recieved this

"The modem is showing a good signal, but its logs are showing that the Ethernet connection between the modem and the Belkin router keeps dropping. This could be caused by a bad Ethernet cable or a bad port on either the modem or router.

Is this a common issue? I switched the ends and it worked for awhile but the issue remains.

It's not "common" but ports do go bad, cables can get messed up also. Try a new cable instead of just swapping the ends around. If that does not work, you may need to change the router.

See if there is a firmware update for the router, they may help before you try a new one. Or see if they will swap out the modem before you try a new router, may save you the cost of buying one.
