Should I go with AMD to upgrade the GPU soon?

I have a build in mind to upgrade my machine, and it goes as such:
I7 4770/K (If I have enough money for the K version, It's so close to cutting the budget)
Gigabyte Z87X-UD4H
16 GB of ram clocked at 1600 Mhz

Now, I thought about maybe going with the FX-8350 to allow me to get a GPU soon, I currently have a really bad one , the HD 6850, and while it's fine I record with fraps a a lot so it slows it down,
I heard the motherboards are cheaper on the AMD side, so I may have enough for a GPU if I don't upgrade my ram, right? I could always wait a little before getting that 16 GB of ram,

By the way, I will use the computer for streaming, video editing, and other such stuff. and while I know that the I7 4770 is better for video editing the FX 8350 is better for live streaming and It'll allow me to go with an HD 7970.

My budget for the upgrade is only 600 dollars. :/

Opinions? Also if you think I should go with the AMD can you recommend me a good motherboard that's as good as the Z87X-UD3/4H ?

Sorry for being such a git about this, but I'm really ignorant when it comes to AMD motherboards, and I would like opinions because I am scared to mess up. >_<

If this is the wrong forum (which I assume it isn't) Then I'm sorry. >_<

Edit: Also, if I'm going with the FX-8350 I'll get a cooler soon and overclock it.

why not go for a cheaper ivy bridge CPu and MoBo? Performance isn't that much difference, but you may find the pricing more attractve.
Also, depending on your application needs, the i5 may be sufficient. The only difference is hyperthreading which only comes in handy if you're running heavily threaded workloads.

AMD CPUs can't compare to Intels in the high end right now, so if you're willing to drop the performance on the CPU, I suggest looking at the i5-3570K first and seeing if that makes enough room for a GPU in your budget. Get a good cooler for your i5 and you can get it up to 4.5GHz on air too

Price difference between i7-4770 (non K) and i5-3570K is around $100 in favor of the i5. That gives quite some breathing room already

The I5's are completely out of the question. I stream and video edit and the I5 is just not enough for that. The FX -8350 is better for video editing and streaming than the I5, and while it may suffer a few frames every now and then It's really not that big of a deal when you're recording and just want to have over 60 FPS
