Hello :)

Ill try to make this a brief as possible.
I always have liked computers but never really had the time to get into it.
Im graduating soon and im in the possition to slowly start building my first PC.

I have some basic knowledge of computers but a very poor background in electronics.

I have time on my hands and Im not really in a rush. I have a laptop and a tablet and so this can take a while. Im willing to learn along the way.

I had a flatmate who was the absolut gamer and left parts of his old system on the basemet. I have brought it out and put it appart and this is what I have to work with:

- An Nvidia cooler master stacker 830.
- A seasonic ss 660ht (He said it was running fine when he bought his new system, so I have no reasons to belive it wont work anymore)
- A e-Geforce 8800 gtx (He said it was the best ever 6 years ago but wont help me much now. He also mentioned I can have it dedicated to Physx or something, I dont know :D)
- Four sticks of Corsair Ram (these are ddr2 so he said I wont be able to fit them on the motherboard ill be needing to buy)
- A dlink rangebooster d650 adapter
- A whole bunch of cables.
- A noctua heat sink, no idea of the model.
- 3 fans.
- A dvd player/burner
- 3 Hd´s (They are still on the case and I havent had time to remove them but I will later today or tomorrow so I dont know the model)

I have gotten lately into video editting (Loving my gopro :D) and will be using this computer mostly for this. I will also use it as a media center at home.
I am not a gamer but I do enjoy the ocational game. I wouldnt mind using this as a gaming pc also but I dont really need to highest settings on the newest games. Just the casual battlefield game or whatever.

I really dont have a set butget. I dont need this done tomorrow and so I can build it little by little.

As far as I know I would at the very least need:
A motherboard
A cpu
A gpu (Maybe something that can work together with the old one??)
I have an 32 Inch samsung LCD that I would like to use.
I am also set for periferals.

I guess the first step will be to give all a good clean since its been in a basement for a long time and it is all covered with dust and stuff.

Anyways, sorry for the long post and apologies for my bad english.

Any advice, help, directions, anything would be greatly welcomed :)
