Hello,
Im building a pc soon and i was wondering if i have three evga 780 in 16x 16x 8x would they be a drop in performance or should i run all in 8x mode, now i would have all in 16x but the intel cpus have only 40 lanes so i dont think i could, can anyone assist?

If you have the option run x16 x16 x8, but even if you were forced to run just x8 x8 x8 you wouldn't see a difference. If your running PCIe 3.0 no question about it, if it's PCIe 2.0 you will still be completely fine you might notice a 1-3 fps difference but I doubt it.

The bridges actually add a bit of latency and can slow things down slightly in some cases. The difference is pretty small though. While I believe that in general it would be better to run your three cards in a 16x/16x/8x or 16x/8x/8x configuration I haven't ready any multi-sli reviews regarding that particular board. You should search for these reviews yourself to help find the best board if you want to do 3 or 4 way SLI. If you're only using 2-way SLI then any board that offers you 16x/16x without using any bridge chips would be the way to go.
