I have a lenovo z580 as follows
i5-3210m
4Gb DDR3 RAM - Samsung M471B5273DH0-CK0
500gb 5200rpm HDD
1GB DDR3 nVidia 630m

Now what are the things can upgrade in my laptop

Keyboard - will a Y580's backlit keyboard work as they are the same size and there is no backlit available for Z580

HDD - Will a 1TB 9mm SSHD fit in and is it worth the upgrade as its only 8gb flash

Processor - can the i5 be swapped out for a 3rd gen i7

GFX - can the 630m be swapped out for another GFX with 2GB DDR5 mem

Battery - can the standard 6 cell battery be replaced for a 9 cell variant

RAM - can 4GB be swapped out for 2 x 8GB G-Skill Ripjaw

Please don't suggest talking to support as they suck and don't know anything. :p

Cpu cant be upgraded.even if u manage to remove it only the same i5 cpu can be place back.same goes to the gpu.both are soldered to the board.keyboard i dont think so as it might uses a different pin.only thing u can change is the hdd/ssd and ram.if there is a factory 9 cell battery for your model then u can upgrade it.basically if u want an upgradeable cpu, gpu,ur best bet is to get a high end gaming laptop.even if u somehow manage to get an upgrade for your cpu or gpu(which is not really possible)the cost would be expensive.

Best to do is get a ram with a high clock speed that your laptop support.also get an ssd if u have additional sata port.for gaming u could try to overclock your card using evga precision.
