AMD Radeon HD 7850 Power Requirements?

Hello there, just wondering if I can run the 7850 on my current PC. Although AMD says to have 500W for a 7850, I have a Corsair CX430V2 - I think it has 28 amps in total in the 12V rail. My question is, can my 7850 run on my current PC and also, can my PSU handle all of my components with the 7850 at the same time?

i3-2120
8GB RAM
1TB HDD
Radeon 6670
Corsair CX430V2
23" Monitor
Mouse
Keyboard
Two Speakers

It will run fine I ran one on a 400watt Antec HCG.

The card is rated for up to 125W. Your CX430 should be sufficient.

its actually 32A on the 12V but anyway, yes it would be enough to to run a 7850 in your system.

You'll be fine. My friend is running an i5 + GTX 660 on a 300w PSU right now.

Hmm.. okay, I'm a little bit worried though but I guess it should be fine as I have seen many people using a 7850 on the same PSU. Should I get the 1GB or 2GB version? Planning to play games like BF3/BF4 on medium settings - how many fps?

Btw, what would be a good cheaper backup? Just thinking of the 7790 for this. Will be planning to play games like BF4 etc at 1080p, maybe?

PriideHD :

The HD 7790 will have a rough time playing the newest games at 1080p, unless you're cool with Medium-High settings with no antialiasing. Try your best to get the HD 7850 2GB.

Okay, I'll try do my best to get that 7850. After poking around, some people say that my PSU will slowly degrade over time so how long will my PC last?

I have running Corsair TX and VX PSU since 2006-7 so really depends, the Corsair CX is their budget line and comes with shorter warranty period so I would be guessing.

All PSUs degrade over time. You will not kill it early by running that graphics card, and you can expect a good 5 years out of it. If it fails, get a new one - they're like $50. Learn to stop worrying and love the bomb.
