I'm looking to spend around 1000 USD, my main concerns are the power supply compatibility and if the motherboard is good enough.

It all looks compatible.
If you want to overclock, you should add an aftermarket CPU cooler. If you dont want to, save a few bucks by getting the non-K version of the CPU.
