I haven't had an Nvidia card since a gt 210 (lol). I'm not really too happy with my 7950 crossfire experience even after the latest beta driver (13.10). I'm seriously thinking of a single card now and I'm seriously considering a ZOTAC GeForce GTX 780 AMP. I only play at 1080 at moment 120/144hz (Mainly 120hz due to temps of my 7950s going near to 90c@144hz). I've only enjoyed physx on cpu and a few times on hybrid system but would love to sample it proper yet it's not a big selling point for me. Noise has been a big issue with my XFX 7950's. I have heard that ill experience a more enjoyable gaming experience with a GTX 780 due to smoother play. Is this true?

If you're cool with spending $730+ after tax for a single GPU, feel free. I (and pretty much everyone else) knows that a GTX 780 a.k.a GTX Titan's little brother is overkill for 1920 x 1080.

Yeah I know its overkill, however its Christmas coming up and a new monitor is top of the list. I can get £252 ($403)for my 7950's so that will go toward the card. I was hoping for some advice on the change. Thanx though

AMD should release newer generation of graphic cards within a month. Latest leaks suggest top of the line single GPU model may beat 780 and TITAN in many cases. You may want to wait a bit.

I would wait a bit.

AMD is getting ready to announce a new GPU line. Pics are being leaked as we speak. :)
