So i just recieved my new laptop and started the setup for windows 8. After choosing my language and country, i accidentally shut the computer down. Now when I start the computer, it goes straight to the sign in menu and I cannot log in because I was never able to set up my account. I tried logging in with windows live but that isnt working either because I was never able to set up my wifi connection. Is there any way to redo the setup without having to sign in?

The thing is I CAN'T
I am stuck at the sign in window, I cannot access anything besides BIOS, which proved to be of no use.

You aren't able to boot to the install disk? If you can access the BIOS, you should be able to.

Edit: Or do you not have an install disk? If not, you should be able to download it from Microsoft, burn it to a DVD-R and then boot to it. Once you do, the product key for your laptop should be on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop.

My system beeped at me after I followed the instructions, but nothing happened. Still loaded to the sign in.

Well, it seems that the download on Microsoft's site won't work like I thought it would. Instead, have you tried pressing F8 while the system is booting to get to an advanced boot menu? It should display several options, one of which should have something to do with performing a system recovery. If you select this option, you should be able to restore the laptop to the exact condition it was in when you first got it.

Would it be possible to recover it with a windows 8 .iso on a usb drive?

If you have the .iso, you can use that to burn a Windows 8 install disk. Copy it onto another computer that has a DVD burner and double-click the .iso file. This should automatically start the image burning to a blank DVD-R, which you can then use to reinstall Windows on your new laptop.

Once my .iso is finished downloading (I located one) I will try that. If it doesn't work out for some reason, do you reckon that employees at a Windows Store will look at my pc even though I didn't buy it from there?
Also, what drive should I boot from when I have the .iso data burnt to a disk?

I don't think there is such a thing as a Windows Store...this isn't Apple lol That said, you could take it to Best Buy and have the Geek Squad look at it, but they're really expensive.

You'll want to boot to your DVD-ROM, which may be listed as an optical drive.
