hello everyone;

I bought a Samsung 22B300B LED display today... after i hooked it up i ran games and increased their resolution to 1080p to see how they worked. I intalled the drivers and the stuff that came with the disc (MagicTune etc).
I notived this first on Alan Wake because it ran very bad on 1080p, i tried lowering the reolution and the game crashed and would not start again. i chalked it off to being a bug, i ran DmC later and same thing happens again lowering the res minimizes it to the taskbar or sometime the message "ran out of video memory" shows and the game shuts off.
it never happened on my previous display
My specs are:
E8400 core 2 duo 3.0ghz
2gb ddr2 ram
160gb HDD
and a 2GB Gigabyte 6570 128-bit ddr3

i want help and need to understand what is causing this is my screen somehow making thi happen or its the fault of the drivers and stuff that i installed which came in the disc with it
thank you.

Solution
That's an interesting problem. I would never install any utilities or drivers that aren't absolutely needed, so I would just get rid of any programs installed from that monitor disc. It sounds more of a graphics driver issue to me. I would recommend downloading the latest AMD drivers from their website directly and see if that helps at all.

Hope this helps.

an hd 6570 isn't capable of gaming at 1080p.. your 2gb of system ram is a massive issue as well. Look like your gpu isn't good enough at high def and the system ram is too small to run it at low def. I would uninstall everything except for the drivers, as for your problems, get yourself up to 4gb of ddr2 system ram and grab an hd 7770 for $70, cheap and easy update, you'll be able to use your new monitor and play your new games with it.

i saved up for a good GPU but turns out my system only supported single-slot cards and here in my country the options are very limited and i coudnt find a better upgrade.
as for your suggestion on increasing the ram sir, do u think adding another stick would eliminate this problem ?
thank u

if you're limited to single wide gpus they do make 7750's in single wide forms... that will be a significant improvement for you as well. and yes, i do suggest you get yourself up to 4gb of system ram, and move your OS over to a 64 bit operating system.
