I would like to upgrade my graphics card but want to stay away from bottlenecking.
I want to upgrade from the radeon 6450 to the 7770 or gtx 650.
I have an amd 14 3400 apu processor 2.7 ghz

There is no such thing as "no bottleneck" otherwise, everyone would be running all games at infinite frame rates. Something ALWAYS bottlenecks even if you have an i7-4960X overclocked to 5GHz with quad-Titan.

The real question is: what does it take to meet your performance expectations in the games you actually care about or alternately, how close to ideal performance can your budget take you.

Depending on games, CPU and GPU selection, you may run mostly into CPU bottlenecks, mostly GPU bottlenecks or mixed bottlenecks on a scene-by-scene basis. The name of the game is finding a combination that minimizes the frequency and severity at which this happens while still fitting within your budget.

Im sorry but I didnt really understand. I play crysis and skyrim.

Why use the term "bottleneck" if you don't know what it means?

I researched choosing a graphics card and it said to avoid bottlenecking..I know it means to interfere with parts but i was wondering the best setup for that for the games i play.

Thanks, Is there anything that would still fit well into my rig? That would have the least amount of bottlenecking?
