I'm getting a new PC, mostly for gaming.

Motherboard will be an Asus H87M-E.

I've read that the i7 doesn't really offer much apart from hyperthreading, so I want to get an i5, but can't quite decide between a 4570, 4670 or 4670k.
I don't plan on overclocking, but want to get the fastest one that suits the motherboard the best.

I'm also stuck between the Geforce GTX 680, 4 GB, and the 770, 2 GB.
Is the 770 so much better that I can ignore the lower vram?

In both cases, money's not an issue. I want to get the best performance, even if it's just marginally better.

Solution
The 4670 is the fastest none OC. No 770 is not so much better it is rather what resolution you play at, single 1080P monitor 2GB is enough.

Buy this instead.
It's a Core i7 equivilent at a lower price.

As for the graphics card, the GTX 770 is slightly faster due to its better memory chips and higher stock clock speeds.
As long as you're gaming at or below 1920x1200, you will not benefit from the added RAM (90% of the time).
Also, there is the option to go with a 4GB GTX 770.

But, it's hard to ignore the fact that you can save 90$ and get 2 more games for free by going with a HD 7970 GHZ instead.

Performance on avarage is pretty much the same.
The GTX 770's performance lead is only significant in WoW and Starcraft.

Only if you overclock which you cant do on that board.
