The GA-Z77M-D3H has no manual vcore option in the bios. I have tested a 4.2ghz overclock and the vcore goes up to 1.230ish under load.
Is that to high a vcore? or will it be safe to keep it there without degrading my 3570k?

thanks in advance

Yes, that is a safe voltage. How do your core temps look?

Hi Yogi,

Temps were high as I'm running a stock heatsink I did stop tests at 80 as I just wanted to see how high the vcore went as I couldn't manually set it.

I'm looking to get a True Spirit 120 to OC my rig with soon.

Cheers
John

OK - I see. Normally, OC'ing on the stock HSF is NOT a good idea, but since you were watching the temps and stopped at 80*C. that is fine.

Good luck with the new HSF!
