dimm 4 sounds alarm. please help

bought 4 2gb ddr2 6400 ram. 4 slots available on abit fatal1ty f-190. os is win 7 enterprise 64 bit. max ram is 16 gb. slots 1-2 work fine.add one more to slot three, wont boot windows. another added to 4 (total of 4-2g) makes an alarm sound. wth?? it worked before upgrading cpu. it was running on 4-1gb. sticks.

Check that your mb bios has the newest code to rule out a bios bug. On some mb and ram combo you may have to bump up the ram voltage. If it set to 1.5v try 1.65.

The bent pins would be in the CPU socket, not the CPU.

so... cpu/socket was fine. a little dirty, blew it out with air. we have come to the conclusion board is bad. thanks for the info guys !
