Hello,

I have always visited this site when looking to get info on PC parts but never posted, kind of need to now.

I have been using an old build I made back in '06 I think it was and its starting to show signs of its age by slowing down when trying to open most apps. This is my current components - eireland.me/Software/Parts-1.jpg

I am planning on using the same PSU, DVD-RW and hard drives.

I found this very handy site and added parts im looking to pick up - http://pcpartpicker.com/user/MarcusSuridius/saved/2rY5

The parts look good, just not sure what graphics card I should look for. I do play a good bit of online games so want to get a good one.

Trying to get one for less than €150 cause I haven't too much cash to spare, any help appreciated

Thanks for the fast replies, that card does look good and within my price range.

I was thinking about getting a new PSU just wasn't sure if she still had life in it, any thoughts on a good make for them. I have to go to work so cant open the case to check the make of this one.

Why not? I have been reusing both of my PSU's over the years and they are six and seven years old and still work just fine and cand handle being under load 24/7.

So long as its a decent PSU in the first place I would keep using it until it goes pop.

Re-using a Power Supply Unit for years wears electrical components down badly including capacitors and rectifiers. It is advised that the minimum to change a PSU is about 3 years, depending on OEM and / or warranty longevity.

Well mine came with five year warranties and even though the warranties have expired the PSU's are still going strong and as both rigs get used for folding they are under a greater strain than those that just do a bit of occasional gaming.
