hello. i have an old PC with 1gbx1 ddr2 400MHz + 2gbx1 ddr2 400HMz running with my dg41rq mobo and core2duo e7500 cpu. is it advisable to upgrade to 2gbx2 ddr2 800Mhz?
will it affect my sapphire 7770 vaporx oc video card?

Hello,

It is worth replacing the 1 GB module with a 2 GB module so the whole memory capacity is utilized. You can mix speeds but the faster memory will default to the lowest memory speed available. So upgrading both with 800 MHz modules will only show a difference on extensive use of applications. That said, I'd recommend the replacement of 1 GB module with a 2 GB module.
