I am putting together a build and since I am waiting for an adaptor cable for my DVD drive I am having to try to install drivers via USB thumb drive from my laptop.
I can't seem to get the LAN driver to install correctly on the new machine. I keep getting an error stating that the driver isn't found during install of the realtec 7048 driver. I am running Windows 7 Enterprise edition.
Update: The first error that it gives me is "find file failed", then it says no driver found or something, it was pretty quick, then it says "the realtek network controller was not found"
It would be so much easier if the dang dvd drive was working. I guess I messed up trying to utilize the slim odd slot instead of just getting a dvd that would work in a 5.25" space.
