Hey guys, I just recently purchased me a gigabyte 790gp-ud4h brand new from ebay. The board it is replacing is a gigabyte 790x-ds4. The board keeps having checksum error even after many battery changes and cmos jumps. Also HW Monitor lists the temp for tmpin2 at 82C average even when I am running at stock settings. So I know the board is crapping out already. I am asking peoples' opinion if I made the right decision of buying another am2+ mobo and not just upgrading to a am3+ mobo and new ram. I didn't' want the hustle of spending more as I am on a tight budget. I bought the board in the first place because I don't want to upgrade to am3+ IF(wishful thinking here) there will be a new socket(am4) with ddr4 maybe the end of next year or so. I am stuck with Amd and I do not mind waiting for the new socket and ddr4 as I see not much increase from my cpu with ddr2 and ddr3. As of right now everything I have on my pc is great and I don't see me upgrading again in the next couple of years. Possibly building a new pc from ground up with said am4 socket.
