Hi,

I just shipped by custom build in parts across the country, put the pieces back together again tonight and now get a wierd issue: when I turn on the computer it looks to start up normally but after the OS (Win7) has loaded (i.e. after the windows logo has waved on screen for a bit) my monitor goes to its default screen and says it no longer has an input signal.

My specs:
Gigabyte Z68A-D3H-B3 MOBO
Intel Core i5 processor with std heat sink
MSI N560GTX-Ti Hawk Twin Frozr III
Antec 750w supply
2x8GB corsair vengeance RAM

I pulled the GPU and harddrives from the tower and took them with me on the plane and shipped the rest, assembled, via courier.

Any thoughts on where to start looking for the issue?

Solution
Try plug your video cable into the iGPU port on your motherboard when the screen loses signal to see if it's switching video adapters. If you get signal then try reinstalling the drivers for your gpu and changing the bios setting so that your dGPU is primary

Ok, so I hate to be one of those guys, but I guess I am: the issue was a less than stellar HDMI connection to the monitor.

I was able to start in safe mode and the screen was just flashing on and off, so I jiggled the connection to the monitor, made sure it was properly seated, and the image stabilized. Restarted normally and the picture stayed around.

Still kind of confused why a faulty connection like that would always work for a while during startup then consistently crap out at the same point after loading the OS, but it seems like that was it!
