The i7 4820 would be better but the price isn't justified. If you wanted a quad core i7 you would be best going for a 4770 over the 4820. If you want a hexacore because you wanted to be extreme go for the 4930k, or if you want the best value for gaming cpu go for the 4570 or 4670k if you plan on overcloking in the future.

In short don't buy the 4820 for anything gaming related, there are better choices
