Looking for devices available now (2013) that covert the native DV in a IEE1394/Firewire link to USB protocol. Idea?

Doesn't work. DV is pretty much a dead topic at this point, having been replaced by h.264-based video recorded onto flash memory based media on both the consumer, prosumer and professional markets, whether in SD or HD.... and by other data formats on the higher professional end.
