New build worked fine while breadboarding, but not when mounted in case. Now it won't even boot while breadbording.

[Troubleshooting]

Hi guys.

I'm having trouble booting my new build and I hope someone is able to help me troubleshoot.

The PSU just makes a single click when i short the power switch connectors.

I'm down to having only PSU, CPU, CPU-fan and RAM installed (now while breadbording) and still no luck.

The first time breadbording i had everything plugged in and even managed to install the OS.

Unfortunately I don't have a speaker to help me listen for beeps.

I'm thinking something is shorting out somewhere in or on the mobo, but I can't seem to see anything physically wrong with the board.

I've tried reseating the CPU, tried with the stock cooler, tried clearing the CMOS. And I've tried with another PSU even though I'm pretty sure it still works (tried the paperclip trick).

So I'm pretty much at a loss at this point and any ideas or suggestions are very welcome!

Thank you for your answer.
Okay. Can I do anything further to be sure that it's the mobo before i try to RMA it?
