G.Skill Sniper 1866 Mhz vs Kingston HyperX Genesis 1600 MHz

Hi! I'm going to buy some ram to my new build. Boht of them are dual channel 8gb. My question is which is better? I don't know anything about the latency, but again which is better?

Thank you

  1. The lower the CAS latency the better. If they are the same price, and same latency, grab the Sniper series, because it has a higher speed.
  2. G.Skill Sniper 1866

Sniper has the bigger latency but it is 1866MHz
  4. If the same price get the G.Skill Sniper 1866
  5. You may see more benefit from a lower latency. What do you plan on using the PC for?

Mainly in gaming but I will edit some videos with Sony Vegas but I will not use Photoshop etc..

I think a lower CAS latency will be more beneficial. The difference between 1600MHz and 1866MHz RAM will be minimal with a dedicated GPU, but a lower CAS latency will reduce render times.
