I got this computer as a present, I had the problem of not being able to start it with window 7 so I installed windows 8 worked fine for 3 days, then afterwards it would turn on, then it started showing the asrock uefi setup utility, I don't know what it is or to get even past the password. Help please

That sounds like he was able to access the BIOS. Generally, you do that right after you power the system up and then press the DEL or F2 keys. However, if you do have a BIOS password enabled (and you don't know it), you won't be able to change any settings and save them.
