Hello,

Is it possible to make a database with say 6 tables and then make them all have a unique Primary key, so department1 product PK ATT0129 and so access wont let me have department2 PK ATT0129 the tables would not have a relation other than be under the same asset number labeling system.

Any suggestions?

Anything is 'possible'.

I think in this case, you make Department an attribute of Product.

tblProduct
-ProdID
-Name
-SerialNumber
-Price
-Department

Each Product can have one and only one Department.

But without knowing more of what you want to do, it's hard to make further recommendations.
