I created a partition (about 65GB) on my 500GB internal hard drive to dual-boot Debian, but when I go through the install process, the Debian installer does not recognise the partition because the partition is still located in the same disk as the hard drive. Is there a way to create a new system disk on my existing hard drive so the Debian installer can recognise it and I don't have to lose all my data by being forced to format my whole hard drive?
