I'm not going to lie but I'm a little lost. I made a build on that partpicker website but I have no idea if it is decent or not. Link: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1HykB

I don't need ram as I have 2x4GB DDR3 ram + 2 big HDDs and 1 SSD.

I have no idea about the case, motherboard or power supply. I literally picked from the ratings as I have 0 knowledge about these things. I choose i5-3350P because I don't know how easy/hard overclocking is and I wouldn't need to worry about it with that CPU - that specific one because of the article best CPUs Sept 13 that was given best mid range.

GPU is GTX 760 mainly for the same reasons above.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. :ange:

Mainly a gaming machine my budget is around £500-£700($800-$1100). I would like to keep it on the lower end but if a bit more money would make a much better and longer lasting machine then I would be willing to go to the top. I'm currently on £520.

Yeah I read on here that you can't overlock 3350P, I have no idea if overclocking is worth it at my budget or not - any input would be great!

Right so >500W PSU and make sure it's either Antec, XFX Corsair or Seasonic.
If I don't want to OC then get H77 motherboard + i5-3350P
If OC is the best way to go then i5-3570K with a better motherboard + extra CPU cooling?
No comments on GPU so I assume that is all fine.

(I picked the CPUs from this http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,review-32781-4.html)

Right okay so stick with the i5-3350P, choose a H77 board + better PSU. The case and GTX760 card also good? Would it be worth getting a 4th gen i5? Though this site does say 3350P is the best mid range CPU to buy.

Indeed the Corsair CX500M is semi modular and 80Plus bronze @ the lower end of the price range (£50) and then the Antec is equal at £55 then a jump in price with the SeaSonic SSR-550RM £76.

The H77 boards listed at PCpartspicker have a £10 difference low to high so compare USB3 ports vs USB2 support, # of SATA ports you want 6Gb/s vs 3Gb/s, and various other features you may or may not care to have. Asus probably has more user friendly software but that's highly subjective :)
