My optical drive is on top of my hard drive and i need to get out my hard drive, that requires taking out my optical drive. But in my case, the screws to take it out are on the side where there is no possible space to fit a screw driver. If i have to, (only at last resort) cut open part of the case to take out my optical drive (i would do this when i switch cases so it woudnt really matter). But i would rather not cut it. There is something to open the front but i dont think that would help. Is it possible to unscrew it anyother way?

In normal cases, there are access holes on the other side of the drive bay to allow screw driver access once the opposite case panel is removed. If you can, please take and post images of both sides of your computer's drive bay (with the case covers removed), so we all can see what you're up against.

You have to post the image to an image hosting site like Photobucket or Imageshack.com

Mechanical assemblies are all "layered" these days. You probably must remove one or more seemingly unrelated items to gain access the screws. Just remember somebody put it together and you can get it apart. Take out screws until you succeed.

Sorry it took so long but there are some pictures down there and as you can see there are only screws on one side: the side where i cant fit a screwdriver

Wow! Talk about unhelpful. Neither the User Guide nor the Support Documents show anything (that I saw) about removing the drive bay. Trust us, though. As everyone else has said. Someone put it together, so someone should be able to take it apart.

Check to see if there is just a latch at the front of the drive bay, holding both devices (Optical drive and Hard Drive) in place. After disconnecting the power and data cables from both drives, GENTLY try moving the entire drive bay back from the front of the case.
