I have a pc which is used for playing Games like Diablo3 or League of Legends. But since ever i have massive framedropps.
Diablo3 is not playable (random dropps to like 3or 5 fps all the time).
I have reinstalled the CCC driver like 10 Times and even a fresh Windows on a new SSD didnt change anything.

The components are;

AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.2GHz
Radeon HD 6870 1GB
8GB- Kit DDR3 (2 x 4GB), 1600MHZ CL9,
Windows 7 SP 1
ASROCK N68-S3 UCC
Corsair CX Serie V2 Power Supply (500 Watt)

Could it be the Mainboard ?, i mean the PC isnt High End, but these games should be playable.

Thx for your help anyways.

so your fps increased and stuttering/slowdowns stopped? going from 10fps to 40-60 is pretty impressive. we have a case airflow/temp issue then. lets start to figure out what isn't working right. tell me, are all the fans clean and heatsinks (on the gpu/cpu) clean?

Is the inside of the computer case clean and dust free? you can clean all these parts with qtips and 90% rubbing alcohol all of them are safe to clean, just wait 40 minutes after you do it to make sure everything is dry before powering the system back on.

next we're going to test all your fans to make...

Have you tried furmark or MSI to see what is happening with your GPU? How recently has this been an issue with the frame rates?

Your PC should have no problem with either of the games, need to get a bit creative with your troubleshooting.

an ssd won't affect frame rates, just load times. I need some more info, so bear with me... What resolution are you playing at? What graphic settings? are you playing online or single player? what's your line latency like on your web connection? What are you temps like (HWMonitor/Coretemp)? have you monitored your gpu and cpu processing loads? Have you monitored your gpu's ram usage loads? If so on the previous two questions what does it look like? Finally, have you tried to overclock at all?

Resolution is 1920 × 1080, for the graphic settings i tried everything from ultra low to high, but i doesnt seem to have an effect. I tried with V-sync off and on. Nothing changes . League of Legends and Diablo3 are online, but i have similar isues with Crysis 2 (tried to play @ really lowest seetings but it has crazy framedropps too. Latency is between 40 and 60ms. Cpu Loads are about 40%. GPU Load sometimes comes near max, but normaly its @ 50% or so. I tried to OC both CPU and GPU with no noticeable effect.

Ill try them soon, the frame issue is existing since i have the Pc.

Here is a Furmark Benchmark :

Thx for your help.

Screenshot of a framedrop 11 fps 0% load

Ok, now i have noticed, the game runs fine when the gpu has like 70-90% load, but without any reason then the load and the frames drop to near zero.

103fps

14fps same location, some seconds after

That's a pretty massive drop for just a few seconds and in the same setting, wow. Seems like the computer can handle it as far as hardware goes but something that could be happening is a piece of background software is using the hard drive, On a regular sata hard drive if anything uses the disk when you're gaming you see a major difference because the game is generally using 90% of it's ability, happened with me in gta4. Check task manager to see if any other tasks are using the disk and is it just DIablo 3 you get these drops or all games..

there are only a few things i can think of that might cause this. one is overheating. i want you to try something quick and dirty to eliminate the possibility of overheating. Pop the side of the case off, and stick a room fan in the opening blasting on high. Don't worry about reported temps. do this and see if you still get the slowdowns.

next we're going to test all your fans to make sure they're still working. flick each one with your finger and watch it spin. it should spin freely and quietly and smoothly. at the end of the spin, when it comes to a stop, there should be a "bounce" or spring backwards a small distance. in the blade's spin. if the blade doesn't spin freely the barrings are shot and the fan is dead. if the fan doesn't spring backwards the electric motor is shot and the fan is dead.

do that for ALL the fans. including the gpu fan.

obviously something changed in your system to cause this problem to start up. i'm guessing a fan/fans have died, or heatsinks have become dirty. Lets start there, then we'll examine the case and environment for causes for the overheating.

Ok, i think i got it. The problem was, that there was dust between the cpu fan and the cpu. I have cleaned it, and now the performance is much better. Thxv ery much for you effords. Really nice help!
