I'm new to the whole PC gaming thing, so before I make any purchases I want to make sure I understand completely..

If I but BF3 over at: http://digital.gamefly.com/#!/download-battlefield-3/157840?adtrackingid=cmju029

Will I be able to play as soon as I download it? Are there any other requirements? Or is that it?

You'll have to install the Origin thin client to keep track of your purchases and launch from, but yes, after you download it, you'll be good to play.

f you download it, then it means you have paid for it and you should be able to play it. Just a guess on my part as i have not dealt with gamefly.

you'll probably have to install another software package ( is this an EA game? then it will be a program called "Origin" )........then you need to fill it out to become a client ( information )............ then install game.................. and then sign in to origin to play.............. I think origin/download-install/join game through origin )......... been a while.

Yes, Origin is a free (very small) download that manages games you buy through Origin,EA, or others like Gamefly who sell you a code to download the game through Origin.

Before you download you need to make sure if your PC is good enough to play it. If you know it meets or exceeds the minimum requirements (meeting the recommended requirements would beater), then go ahead and download.

If you are not sure, then post your PC's specs.
