So I've just finished building a new pc and when I did the test build e.g. Hooked up the graphics card, CPU, cooler etc it worked but then when I put it into the case with everything else everything starts spinning and everything seems to switch on but I get no signal on moniter side.

I havnt had the chance to install windows yet as it's a fresh new build.

I'm really confused as this has never happened before and I'm starting to panic because I might have broken something.

Please help if you know a solution :)

Check to make sure the Video card is seated properly. Check the cable connections at the port on the card and at the monitor to make sure they are plugged snug. Make sure the standoffs are down snug and all are in.

Well it worked when you breadboarded it, then the no signal after you put everything in the case. Usually that is usually something with the standoffs and the MOBO grounding on the case, but then again, it usually presents as no fans and such. Also, some monitors have a switch that you can change from VGA to DVI, which would need to be done if running DVI. You didn't say what kind of Video card you were using, but if it requires the 6 Pin connector, or whatever, make sure that thing is plugged in good and snug.

I'm using a EVGA GTX 760 and the monitor is set to the right thing. The GPU requires 2 6pin plugs both of which are tight in, the fans on the GPU are also spinning.

I've tried it in all the PCI slots, still nothing

I am running a GTX 680 in here and it requires an 8 pin ( 6+2 ) & a 6 pin connection. Anyway, you didn't say, but if you are running an Intel Processor with integrated graphics, try that and see if you get a signal ( you will probably have to remove the Card ). If you don't have Integrated or an Onboard graphics chipset and you have another card, try that.

Hmmmm. Not usually an issue, but worth checking.
