]Hello everyone,
Just joined but I been a long time lurker, So the problem i'm having is that I just build this rig a month ago. I been fight this water cooling system since. On stock speed (4.1ghz)my Idle is around 38c at the socket and about 21c at the cores. Using speedfan, coretemp programs. When I benchmark using prime95 for about 30mins. My socket is around 50c with 38c cores. Yesterday I OC to 4.4ghz(mild to what others set to)my socket ran at 61c and 48c cores.

The temp seem too high for the water system I have install even at idle. The system feels some what cool, even when at 61c. The water block was a little warm and the water in the res was cool, so were the hoses. I have a sentry 2 fan controller and even went as far as putting one of the sensors inside the rez (maybe that was stupid)which read 32c during the 61c OC benchmark.

I reset the water block 3 times and reapplied the thermal paste. Also got all the air out of the system. i'm lost......

yes. i believe so. i tilted the rad straight up and down so the air traveled to the top and then shook it

What are you pumping green Jello?

Something is seriously wrong!

Obviously!

But what?

alphacools CKC coolant with mayhems dye.
edit. that pic was after i removed almost half to see what it was

FYI; I've been using plain steam distilled water and siphoning off a 3 reservoir filling every couple of months to keep it fresh, my blocks are clean, no residue, no caustic problems.

Do you think distilled water is better at cooling then a coolant?

i use to mix both water and coolant in my rig.so far no problem.temp are low and it doesn't heat up much.now i use
a new case so i am back to air cooling:p

Bleach and vinegar are a bad combination. Bleach has a high pH (very basic) and vinegar has a low pH (acidic) so the 2 will react to form salts, which are bad!

A little more info
OC 8350 at 4.7ghz with 1.43v max temp is at 62c. With 1 hour of prime95 (idle aorund 35-39c) ambient around 24-27
i would like to get that down to 55c..
I'm going for the 5.0ghz club

Well bought some distilled water today. Going to flush it out tomorrow and maybe take apart the water block to check for build up

So just making sure, I don't use any additives when running water?
