Only 'issue' to adding RAM would be better peformance :)

It's not going to be cheap, but I shared a link above for some DDR2 RAM for your machine, check it out.

If you go for 8GB total, here's another option:
http://www.amazon.com/Komputerbay-1066MHZ-PC2-8500-Heatspreaders-5-7-7-25/dp/B004YWAJ7Y

Slightly cheaper, but also not a big name. I've used Komputerbay RAM in a pinch, but not on my own rig. It seems to work fine.

I'm planning to have windows 8 but I'm not sure if it's good for gaming. So might stick to windows 7. What do you think?

As far as budget is concern, I'm open as long as it's suitable for my CPU and motherboard.

I'd stick with Windows 7. The GPU I listed is an excellent bang for the buck, I have one and it's been awesome, would make a good match for your Core 2 Quad.

If I add 4Gb RAM to my excisting 4GB RAM, will there be a conflict if different brand?

The only potential conflict would lie in different speeds/timings of the different RAM. You should definitely match specs when purchasing. Do you know what RAM you have now?

It would be better to just buy a new 2x4GB kit, but if you can't afford it, it should work to just add more, again if you match specs will be the best.
