Hey guys i just wonder weather or not this rig is able to handle games for 4-5 years long, i heard that battlefield 4 uses up to 3gb vram which made me doubtful, are future games going to use more than 3 gb of vram!? and by the way what's your opinion about this system, specially the vga and the display.
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 R2.0
CPU: FX-8350
RAM: CORSAIR (2*4) 1600
POWER: RAIDMAX 700W
VGA: ATI RADEON HD 7970 or NVIDIA 770 4G (DOUBTFUL)
MONITOR: AOC - 22" - e2251Fw (IF YOU OWN THIS, HOW IS THE QUALITY)
Thanks in advance for any information you can provide me with

trying to "futureproof" for 5 years is literal hogwash, technology evolves and cpu power almost doubles every few years, its almost impossible to keep up. You're rig will be fine, it will play games for most likely those 5 years with no issue but later on odds are they wont be maxed, on ultra, youd have to drop it to high-maybe medium, but still all playable i bet.

Value for money vs. future proofing has a sweet spot, and I think you've struck it with that rig. It should last you a long time, easily 3 years and maybe even 5. Go buy it, and enjoy!

When they said BF4 uses up to 3GB VRAM, they probably meant multi-monitor displays with all settings on full. I reckon 3GB VRAM will be plenty for at least a few more years. So don't even worry about it.

I really think that even BF4 will still be just fine on 2gb cards. They would alienate a very large portion of gamers otherwise. And the HD 7970 is a very powerfull card anyway you will be fine. My GTX 670 SLI has 2gb cards and I am not planning on changing them for quite some time.

it Is a gaming evolved title, meaning it's made for AMD cards first. i wouldn't dismiss the possibility that some settings might require more then 2gb of vram.
