I will be playing mostly battlefield 4 and Arma 3. I want to max battlefield 4 out and get good settings on arma 3 i under stand it would take 2 780 to max out arma.
Anyways the real question. Is 3gb enought vram for 2560x1440. I dont want bottleneck in anyway and when i sli 780 i want to set the viewing distance to max on amra 3 and all that. So will 3gb be limting me?
Here is my options

Gtx 780 newegg open box 500 dollars

Gtx Titan Open Box
800 dollars

AMD 7970 Sapphire 6gb CrossFire
350 each

Amd 7970 3gb CrossFire
265 each

Gtx 770 SLI 4gb evga Classified 520 Each. Buy one now and one in like January. I consider going this route becuase of the extra 1gb of vram over the 780.

You may as well go for as much memory as possible 4GB or 6GB cards matey.
Remembering that the same memory is shared across both cards. So the more the better.
I run a single Gigabyte GTX 760 2GB card and it runs 2560 x 1440 more than fine but not maxed out on all quality settings.
I'd persoanlly get 2 x 4GB GTX 770's and make sure you allow as much space between them for cooling as possible.
:)
Have fun,
