Should I return my GTX 770

I recently got a 770 as a birthday gift but but I haven't opened it since all the mantle talk has got be thinking about the future and I'm not sure if I should keep it or return it and wait to see how things pan out. I've never owned an AMD card but with both consoles having AMD I'm worried that Nvidia won't be as good of a choice for the future.

We have not seen any proper benchmarks on "Mantle". Microsoft promised 3x performance improvement with direct X 11 and it turned out to be slower. The 770 is an excellent card and you are very lucky to get one for your birthday. I would not hold my breath for this hype. I think the real reason why no real benchmarks have been released is because the potential to draw 9x faster doesnt...

I think the real reason why no real benchmarks have been released is because the potential to draw 9x faster doesnt equate to 9x speed put probably a marginal difference like 10-20% faster in supported games. Since Nvidia is already king in BF3 I would think it would stay like that in even with mantle for some time.. ps: bf4 at the moment is the only game that supports it.

Agreed the 770 graphics card will probably even out perform the new Radeon coming out, and if not its a solid card for the next 3-5 years.
