hi everyone! i got a raidmax cobra 3.0 case and im wondering where to put the fans in it for efficient cooling on my components (intake/exhaust) it already has a front 120mm intake fan and 120mm exhaust fan. i've put a 120mm exhaust fan on the bottom. i still have an option of putting fans on top of the case either 2x140mm or 2x120mm fans in it. im wondering if im doing it right or how should i install my fans?

thanks in advance!

Your case sounds similar to mine so i would recommend this format.

2 x fans in the front (as intake)
as many 120/140mm fans as you can in the bottom (as intake)...

2 x 140mm fans in the top (as exhaust)
1 x 120mm fan on the rear (as exhaust)

(I would recommend putting dust filters on all your intake fans as well, to prevent dust filling your case and potentially damaging components :)

i think i can only fit 1 140mm intake fan infront and 1intake fan on the bottom.... is that ok? then the rest would be 2 exhaust on top and rear? and i got dust filters on the bottom/front and top of my rig...

what im thinking is putting 2 intake fans on top using 120mm fans then 1 front intake fan and for the bottom and rear ill put exhausts on it. coz if ill put an intake on the bottom of the rig i think its gonna affect my GPU since im using GTX660 and the fan is facing the bottom which is normally an exhaust. well this is just my idea im not even sure if its right to be honest. :)

To be honest mate, the best way to configure your fans is to have more intake than exhaust, which will give you a positive airflow (best I say) but unfortunately by the look of your case, you can't do that unless you get high CFM fans for the front and bottom, then lower CFM fans before the top and rear...

The bottom intake will benefit your GPU tbh, as more cool air is better than an exhaust.

(I have a GTX760 (pretty much the same card) and it works fine with an intake at the bottom... better than when i had it as an exhaust)

So use;
1 x 140mm fan as intake in the front (HIGH CFM)
1 x 120mm fan as intake in the bottom (HIGH CFM)

2 x 140mm fans as exhaust in the top (MEDIUM CFM - use 140mm, not 120mm so you can reduce the speed of the 140mm's to make them quieter but still get the same CFM as a 120mm fan)
1 x 120mm fan as exhaust in the rear

actually heres what i got now... i replaced the stock fans with a thermaltake fan that has 1800rpms on the front and ive put 2 140mm thermaltake fans on top for intake, 1 120mm on rear for exhaust and 1 120mm on the bottom for exhaust... should i just make the front and the bottom both intakes and the top and rear both exhaust?
