i scouted around the raid intel raid matrix to get to know the enviroment before i attempt to raid configure my hdd's and i noticed they were grayed out,does it matter if there is data on them and they are not new-blank or if they are dynamic(im aiming for gaming performance,speed in general)

You cannot configure drives in raid with pre-existing data on any of the drives.

Well, you can but the data will get wiped with any raid other than raid1. LoL
Anytime you are going to make changes to your drive(s) make sure you have made a recent backup or two.
Implementing raid in any form means being even more diligent in you backup routine.
