Vista Laptop disconnects other devices

For about the last month I have been having an issue with my home adsl network where one specific vista laptop connecting causes all the other devices to disconnect for a few seconds which is a pain when playing games.

Does this sound like a fixable problem if any of you have witnessed this before?

Vista is akin to a virus. If you can, just upgrade your OS to solve this. (I had a ton of problems with vista, and when I up'd they went away. many of them were connection problems and problems recognizing drives)
