I can buy powercolor 7950 pcs+ for 250 usd or asus 7970 matrix platinum for 400 usd. is matrix worth paying that much more?

Good question.an hd 7950 is higher priced than a gtx 7950.But according to most rumours suggests that there is a fractionnal margin between the two that the gtx 760 is only a second less than the radeon 7950.But the gtx 760 is about 90 bucks less.according to me if you plan at 1080p there is no better card in the world than the gtx 760.

20-25% increase for 50% price increase so still no. You can get a HD7950 for $200 online versus GTX760 for $250. Price/performance still in favor of the 7950.
