I5-4670k and very high vcore ratings

Dear gurus,

I have an I5-4670k on a Gigabyte Z87N-WIFI mini-ITX motherboard. My problem is that I need very high vcores to run it: for example for stock with turbo on I need about 1.14 vcore to run it stable. Overclocking is almost impossible, I was able to have it on 4 ghz and vcore more than 1.2. 4.2 ghz is impossible with 1.25 vcore and I haven't dared to go higher.

Motherboard shouldn't be the problem because I saw a review of the MB with the reviewer managing 4.6 ghz with a decent voltage. BIOS probably could be a problem, but I don't know what there is that could make the vcore requirements so high. Power supply? I have a be quiet! System power 7 PSU 500W. Damage on the MB or the processor itself? I don't know if this could be likely because I can run the compu on stock no problem, just with the high voltage that is causing me a little bit of heat problems — although this probably has to do also with the fact that I have to have my Hyper 212 Evo facing the GPU because of the layout of my mobo.

All help and insight are very much welcomed! I will post more info about my BIOS settings if someone asks me something in specific. Thanks.

So am I to deduce that the high required vcore is pretty much based on me having an I5-4670k that requires a lot of juice? Thanks for your answers, JackNaylorPE
