Power supply I'm currently looking at: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681...

GPU it will be powering: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681...

Have you had or seen any issues in the past with Rosewill power supplies? Are they of good build quality? Do you think it will be enough to support my new GPU? Seen any better deals on 600W ATX power supplies?

I'd be glad to know.

Thanks for your time, everyone.

Is there a way to tell these things by looking at specifications? Or is it simply experience?

You have to know more than just specs. You have to know which lines Rosewill makes that are good and which are bad. That's from one of their bad lines. The one that rolli59 linked is the latest go-to for single GPU setups, a very high quality unit.

Do you think the linked 550W will be "future-proof"? In a few years, do you reckon I'd have to upgrade my power supply again with my GPU?

One way to tell if a power supply is better than another is to check out the +12v rail. This is the rail that provides the most power to your components (specifically the CPU and GPU in mind). The 600W Rosewill +12v rails are rated for a total of 430W which is MUCH lower than the 528W of the 550W XFX.

Great! I was actually looking at the cx600 corsair earlier but I wasn't very sure. Thanks a lot!
