So I am doing a custom build for the first time. I am going for the Z87-Expert motherboard: http://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/Z87EXPERT/
Is there any case you would recommend that has a thunderbolt port?

The Thunderbolt port is soldered to the back edge of the motherboard, it is not a function of the case to "port" it out. Your motherboard does not have an internal I/O that will allow you to carry the Thunderbolt signals to the front of the case.

Virtually any case made for your motherboard's form factor (ATX) will work fine.
