I just got a new laptop with the following specs:
Hp pavilion 15 notebook pc
intel i5
Radeon Graphics (TM) HD 8670M (I believe it is 2gb)
windows 8
Everything seems to be working well. However, I finished installing steam + dota2. Now everytime I launch the game, the computer says that my pc encountered an problem. If I want to search the error I should look up SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (atikmdag.sys). Then it proceeds to restart my computer. Thereafter, it sends some information to microsoft about the problem especially about the following 3 files:
C:\Windows\Minidump|092713-34468-01.dmp
C:\Users\My Name\local\temp\WER-53812-0.sysdata.xml
C:\Windows\Memory.DMP
I don't know how to fix the problem. Should I contact steam support or should I take my computer to the shop I got it from? If there is quick fix that I can try, I would greatly appreciate your help.
