Which motherboard that can accommodate XFX 7870 GPU and AMD 6300 an 1600mhz RAM. Not going to overclock or nothing fancy like that.

  1. Any motherboard that uses the AM3+ socket will work and will also have the pcie slot for the gpu. Pick one that suits your budget. Asus, ASRock and Gigabyte all make multiple boards for that cpu - get one with with either 970 or 990 North bridge and you're good to go.

Could you be a bit more specific please, give me some budget models. I'm a first time builder :D
  3. Do you need to buy just the m/b and cpu, or do you need to buy an entire build?

    What's your budget?

What is the intended use of the system?

I would be happy to help you, but I need more information in order to do so. If you follow the directions on how to ask for build assistance contained in THIS THREAD, I'll be happy to give you some opinions.

Gigabit Ethernet LAN (rev. 1.0) what does that stand for?
  7. That's a high speed (gigabit) wired (ethernet) local area network (LAN) connection. Typically used for hardwire between modem and motherboard to provide the best internet connection.
  8. ORDERD. Will update my first build.
