Hi, I'm in the market for a new computer. I have an issue, though: I don't know anything about graphics/video cards

I'd like to be able to play PS2 with a reasonable framerate during large battles. The catch is that I'm on a tight budget (~$700.00). Do you guys know if this computer is able to handle the recommended system specifications? Especially regarding graphics? If it only meets the minimum requirements, how do you guys think it would handle?

Alternatively, could any of you suggest a different computer that could handle PS2's recommended system specs?

I'd be willing to play the game on Low settings (I've been doing that for the majority of the time, anyway). 30 frames per second in a big battle is good enough for me.

Here's the PS2 system specs (very bottom): https://www.planetside2.com/faq

Here's the PC I'm looking into: http://www.qvc.com/HP-17.3-Pavilion-Laptop-6GB-750GB-HD...$uslarge$

Thanks for the help!

The only way to game on a laptop, is to buy a very, very, very expensive one. They are not designed for great gaming. The one you are looking at would barely meet the minimum specs... and then only at low resolution and low settings in-game.

+1^
The $650 Lenovo would allow decent gaming at reduced settings and not break the bank. The key is to have a discrete card instead of relying on the on-die GPU.

you could actually buy a com with an intel iris pro gpu or at least intel hd graphics 4000 pr 4600 then buy 4 gigs of DDR3 Ram and then page vitual ram in windows 7 it is called VRAM. For the HDD buy one with at least 500GB of space but i recommed buying a 1TB hard drivel

but i really buying a very budget com with replaceable CPU AND Ram provided that there is a PCI express slot to dock an external gpu

for the external gpu check this link----http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktUw2VTFyX4

and to dock one you need a PE4H adapter
