Well, just wondering why everyone is complaining about the piledriver hot with the stock Heat sink. This is my first ever DIY build, so i would think that overclocking this core would bring much heat, but i got the contrary. Im running the amd overdrive without turbocore at 4.5gHz (remember, brand new to this stuff) and 1.3 as my cpu voltage. Should I go any farther?

Under 100% load for 1 hour: 54.6C-56.9C

Build:
CPU: AMD 8350fx w/ stock amd cooler
MOBO: MSI 990FXA-GD80
RAM: Kingston 8GBx1 1600mHz
Graphics Card: EVGA 660ti SC v1
PSU: Thermatek 750W 80 Bronze
CASE: Some old Atx Midsize case with crappy airflow

Solution
First thing: NO NO NO! Get a refurbished closed loop Corsair water cooler, they go through more tests than the new ones. Stock cooler + overclocking = burnt up CPU or a computer that sounds like it should lift of sometime soon.

You live in antartica?

How come the temps you get are so low after overclocking with your stock cooler.
If you want to overclock don't do it with the stock cooler, that's all I would suggest.

Buy an after market cooler, a cheap one like the CM Hyper 212 Evo is good.

My Room temp is about 75F, so room temp is 23.8C

Im aslo confused as to why my temps are so low (maybe a misread by PC meter?) Anyways, thanks for the Recomendation. :D Im thinking about buying a Nzxt Phantom 410 (Cause i got a small desk) and a Corsair h100i/ that air cooler. I just thought that i could do an already built water cooler, and eventually build a custom liquid loop that would go to my soon to be EVGA SLI 660 ti cards, and my CPU. BTW, do you have any ideas on how much a loop like that would cost to make "For future reference?" (ie Christmas)

BTW im only 15, so dont hate if I sound stupid

Well, that makes sense, but your saying that the cpu meter gadget is unreliable and also AMD overdrive

What program would you use to monitor the temps?
