Hello

My budget is around 250-300€ (338-405$) I'm going to buy the parts in the next two weeks.

I've been looking around the internet to find a suitable GPU for my gaming needs, but I could use some help. These are the two cards that I liked the best so faar:

Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 Windforce 3x 450W, 4GB GDDR5, 256bit, PCI-E 3.0 (http://www.jimms.fi/tuote/GV-N670OC-4GD-BUNDLE)

Gigabyte AMD Radeon 7950, Windforce, 3GB GDDR5, DVI/HDMI/2xMiniDP, PCI-E 3.0
(http://www.jimms.fi/tuote/GV-R795WF3-3GD)

I'm going to use the card to play games like BF3/BF4, Assassin's Creed Black Flag, GTA V (if it ever comes to PC) and other new titles that are coming. I'd like to run them 60fps on 1680x1050 without too many drops.

Current computer rig:

M5A97, AM3+, AMD 970, DDR3, ATX
AMD Radeon HD 6770, 1GB GDDR5, DVI/HDMI/DP
2x 4GB, DDR3 1333MHz, CL9
Phenom II X4 955BE Rev. C3, AM2+/AM3, 3.2GHz, 8MB
550W Core Edition ATX-virtalähde, 80+ Bronze

I was also thinking about replacing my CPU with AMD FX-6300, AM3+, 3,5GHz, 6-core (http://www.jimms.fi/tuote/FD6300WMHKBOX).

Can my powersupply run these or do I need a new one?

Might aswell wait and see before I buy the CPU since there is no rush. The power supply is the part that I was most concerned about.

I'm personally tilting toward the GTX 670, since it's 50€ cheaper. But I'd like to hear any other opinions about the two cards before I buy.
