Is Haswell worth upgrading from an Ivy Bridge setup?

I read that Haswell is barely 5% faster than IB and uses more power and produces more heat.

The only way i could see that being a worthy upgrade is if you had a non k cpu and a non overclocking board and you wanted to get into overclocking.

Just from a performance point of view, no. It´s hardly even worth upgrading from SB.

However, if you are coming from an i5 (and/or non-k CPU like ShadyHamster already said) and need hyperthreading, then it might be worth.

Also, the Z87 chipset offers a couple of more features which might make it worth for some people.
